On February 1st, I found out that I won the Valentine’s bracelet giveaway from Nicole at Juicy Alligator.  How exciting!  This was the first time I’d won a blog contest… and believe me, I try to participate and win these things as often as possible.  To my surprise, it came in the mail with matching earrings:

On February 7th, Stacy at Stacy’s Random Thoughts awarded and tagged me as she was playing catchup on a whole gang of blog awards she received.  Thanks, Stacy!  I’ll just keep it simple and mention one here (hadn’t gotten this one before and thought it was cool):

I’m supposed to list 5 reasons why I think that Life is Grand and then pass it on to 5 people.

1.  I have a beautiful, smart, healthy, and fun 15-month-old daughter.

2.  I am able to be home with her and still balance a career.

3.  I have a wonderful husband (most of the time ), who I not only love, but like immensely.

4.  We have very supportive family and friends, who have proven themselves to be genuine.

5.  My family is blessed to have good health, shelter, clothing, and food and is able to share these blessings with others.

I thought this was cool because it serves as a reminder to be grateful and remember that being alive is GRAND.

I hope these 5 6, yes 6, people will appreciate receiving this reminder, as well:
